The Fleet VIDEO REPORT

I prefer to venture off on my own and explore areas where no one else is fishing, but sometimes you have no choice but to join the fleet! This was the situation MFCC member Jake Vorce and I found ourselves in on Monday of this week.

The below video report recaps our experience on the water. Despite the large number of vessels we enjoyed a terrific day of fishing, landing bass to 25 pounds under a clear sky with flat calm conditions.

Who knows what will happen this weekend!

There are certainly plenty of fishing options on the table, whether you want to pursue stripers, tuna, bluefish, fluke or other species. Obviously I can't take all the members here on MFCC fishing with me, however keep an eye peeled on your email inbox.

Usually the invites go out to MFCC "veterans" however during August I would like to take a new member out on my boat for a day of fishing.

Anyone who joins My Fishing Cape Cod as a member between today and July 31st will get their name put into a hat. Then at the end of this month I will randomly select a new member to accompany me on a fishing trip during the month of August.

I am having fun meeting and fishing with many of you, and I hope to continue doing so throughout 2015 and beyond!

Good luck out there this weekend and as always tight lines & take care,

Ryan

  • Yo Ryan. I think I am going to cancel my subscription and then sign up again so my name goes into the hat… Keep on doing your thing. Great stuff. More drone video if you can swing it. I was part of Freedom Boat Club until last year and really missing it right now. This is boat time as catching them from shore can be tough in July and August. If anyone is thinking about getting a boat I suggest you check out FBC. The franchise in MA is now under one owner and there are boats from the north shore all the way down to mid cape. I put my membership on hold for time constraint reasons and it’s killing me right now seeing big ass stripers being caught from boats. If anyone is going out and wants a fishing buddy that will pay for gas send me an email [email protected] or text 617-306-2739. Tight lines all.

    • Hi Greg! Yes feel free to do as you please to get your name into the hat. I do have your name on the short list of folks to invite whenever I have an opening…I appreciate your support all these years and it’s the least I can do.

I agree with your points on Freedom Boat Club. Seems like a great alternative to owning a boat. So much less of a hassle that is for sure!

Over the winter of 2015/2016 I think I will work on developing a “My Fishing Cape Cod Mobile App” which members can use to connect with one another and organize group trips. There seems to be a high demand for people wanting to buddy up with another for a day out on the water, but the means of connecting one another just isn’t available….yet!!!

  • Nice video Ryan and excellent write up by Jake. This is the best educational fishing site out there, hands down!

  • Again great looking fish.
Saturday I went out on the LittleSister out of Quincy with several family members and we caught 23 Flounders.
I haven’t fished for flounder since I was a kid and it was fun fun fun.

    • That’s awesome George! Seems like Jason has that flounder bite dialed in.

It sure is fun, especially when fishing with kids/family. Simple fishing is often the best.
