As of 5PM on Friday September 18th, I have reached Cahoon Hollow in Wellfleet and am en route to Newcomb Hollow.
My legs feel great and I'm ready to catch some fish as soon as the sky gets dark.

Today has been mostly about logging miles and taking in the sights. It's been a terrific trek so far.
Plus I have encountered thousands upon thousands of peanut bunker, which striped bass love to feed upon. The stage is set!
Tonight I will definitely focus more on the fishing. Typically striped bass feed better and move in closer to shore during the night. This will present me with my best chances of catching fish.
I will let you know tomorrow morning how things go. In the meantime MFCC members can click the orange download button below to see a selection of photos from today's adventure.

Looks like you had a great adventure.thank you for sharing it with us.im sure it wasn’t all fun and games.27 miles in the sand not that easy I’m guessing.sure you missed your girl to.thanks again,it will feel good to sleep without coyotes licking they lips.lol
Even just 2 nights spent out in the elements really makes me appreciate a warm house and comfortable bed so much more. I think I was starting to take all the creature comforts for granted!
Sounds like an amazing journey my man!! The wife and I would love to do something like that some day. Cheers.
I think that’d be terrific Steve. Just look for a nice balmy west/southwest wind. I can imagine it would be pretty horrific out there at night right now in this cold NE breeze!
Hope you had a good time.looking forward towards posts
It was a terrific experience to say the least
Leave a few fish for us lol, coming up October 14th cant wait
You won’t have to worry about that, I left plenty of them out there for you guys!
it looks that the weather is on your side. Good lock with the rest of the trip!
Thank God the weather cooperated. During the day it was HOT and then at night it was cold and damp. I was shivering at times. It must be so cold out there right now at night with this brisk NE wind blowing.
Beachcomber closed Labor Day. Major bummer
Ah OK, I did expect to see more people in that area. I guess that explains it.
Good job
Thank you!
No stopping off at the Beachcomber!!
Ha! It was difficult to walk on by without stopping for a beer!
Moving along pretty fast! Good luck fishing tonight.
Ended up doing 17 miles that first day. Stopped walking around 1am and tried to get some rest, which is when the coyotes conveniently showed up…
God speed Ryan. Be safe, and catch ’em up!
God Speed to you as well Peter!
