Garet Suomala
Sorry guys that I have not written recently on the website. I have been procrastinating! Anyways, here goes nothing.
Back on June 22nd I had the good fortune to explore and fish Truro with a member here on the site.
Anybody know Chris Gonyer? Well that's who I went fishing with.
So sit back, relax, and let me tell you all about it.

Fishing Provincetown, Massachusetts
Now if any of you don't know where we fished, Ryan was so kind as to put a map up for you guys.
So if you want to go to where we fished, you can look for yourself above!
Chris picked me up at my condo in Barnstable around 3am. By the time we got on the water it was already about 4am.
The author onboard MFCC member Chris Gonyer's boat a mile or two off the coast of Provincetown, just after sunrise.
I know that is too early for most "non-fishermen"! LOL.
But all joking aside what an awesome time to be out there on the water. There was nobody else on the water at that hour, and it felt like we had that part of the ocean all to ourselves.
7 Striped Bass on Live Mackerel
Yes! The first hookup of the morning.
I don't care how early it may be in the morning, it is always a blast to catch 'em!
If I remember correct, this fish was not the biggest fish of the day, but still very fun to have on the end of the line.
During the time we were out on the water, we caught 7 fish, with 2 fish being "keeper-size."
The bass photographed above was one of the 2 keepers, and what a fish it was! Overall I had a really good time.
Chris was even kind enough to cut two filets for me to bring home for dinner.
Thank you Chris for an awesome experience.
Tight lines!
Chris you are a true gentleman and fisherman. Nice job on the post Garet. I also love seeing the sunrise as most folks sleep.
Yes. Thanks for taking me chris
Glad you had a great time, Garet!
