Catching a Tuna Fishing Solo off Cape Cod

15 minutes into fishing on the morning of October 27th, my longtime fishing buddy Jason Mazzola hooked into a bluefin tuna while fishing by himself off Cape Cod.

Successfully capturing a tuna with an able crew is difficult enough. Catching a tuna fishing solo isn't just difficult-it can also be dangerous.

But there are some tuna captains on Cape Cod who regularly catch giants while fishing alone. These guys will be the first to tell you how powerful these animals are and how unpredictable the ocean can be (especially during the fall).

Despite all that my buddy pulled it off and caught a plump 74 incher all on his own. Plus he somehow managed to catch a lot of the action on video.

The following will give you a taste of what it's like to catch a tuna solo. Nicely done Mazz!
