Since starting My Fishing Cape Cod in 2011, we've had many excellent reports, articles, videos and other contributions from members.

Today I'm excited to share with you a comprehensive PDF created by New England outdoors writer, John D. Silva. This PDF taps out at 1,333 words and includes photographs. I would classify this PDF as a comprehensive overview of fishing Cuttyhunk Island.

I'm fortunate to have grown up on the beach, and I've been fishing since kindergarten. I have great family, friends and fishing experiences to be thankful for. Just being out there is enough-catching fish is just a bonus!

  • Thanks everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with the wonderful folks that call Cuttyhunk home and those who help make it very special place.

Hope to see you out there…

  • So close, yet so far away! This was a trip I wanted to make this summer – hopefully next summer. I’m always detoured by the boat ride/drive to New Bedford when I only live a few miles away and can see Cutty in the distance.

    Thanks for the write-up John!

  • I enjoyed your report John. Some good nuggets in there. I had the good fortune of talking with Captain Pete twice while at Cuttyhunk. He said fishing at Cuttyhunk was all about finding the bait.
