Over the weekend I had a unique opportunity to go on a great white shark viewing tour. For this trip I was with captain Cullen of Cape Star Charters, My Fishing Cape Cod member Josh Garvey, and Josh's family.
We left at 9am Saturday morning and headed to the beaches of the Outer Cape. Within just two hours we spotted a half dozen great whites, as well as two seals which had been recently attacked.

Best of luck if you head out fishing this week. Be sure to keep an eye peeled for great white sharks, whales and other marine creatures.
You just never know what you may see when you go fishing or boating off Cape Cod & the Islands.
Tight lines!
Pretty freakn awesome…there are so many around…great research being dun…their world
I took special note of the short expanse of footage about 0:08. As the White Shark was swimming it passed through a school of large sand eels. I assume this video was taken off of an outer Cape beach. Large sand eels have had a historical impact on Striped Bass fishing over the last 50 years, drawing big Bass to Cape Cod for historic blitzs in the 1970’s and to Block Island in the 1980s. It is a good sign to see large sand eels off the outer beach. It also dictates that Needlefish are my lure of choice when I fish the outer beach.
Yes I noticed those sand eels as well, and yes this was off the Outer Cape. Hopefully it’s a good sign as you mention!
Excellent video Ryan! What a birthday present! Great footage of the shark underwater. Thanks!
It was so cool seeing these animals in such shallow water. The Outer Cape is an amazing place!
